Bespoke London-based travel company Blue Marble Private will invite curious travellers to a deep-water discovery of the wreck of the world-famous RMS Titanic with a new eight-day journey starting May 2018.
Available for only nine adventurers at a time, the experience takes ‘Mission Specialists’ from the coast of Newfoundland, Canada to the expedition support yacht by a helicopter or seaplane. Adventurers will then explore the ship, at its depth of 3,784-metre, with a team of explorers, scientists, submersible pilots and expedition crew. Orientation sessions will familiarise Mission Specialists with the support vessel’s systems, including sonar, undersea navigation system, and the specially-designed titanium and carbon fibre submersibles used to explore the wreck. Priced from US$105,129 per person, equivalent to a First Class passage ($4,350) on RMS Titanic’s inaugural – and only – sailing, after adjusting for inflation. www.bluemarbleprivate.com
